I don’t always enjoy the celebritization of video games during Spike’s Video Game Awards, where random attractive people pretend to know anything about video games while reading the prompter. Still, the show does provide some entertainment in the form of new trailers! Let’s see what new was shown this year.
Some of these trailers are for titles we already know exist, but at least one is for a newly announced title. A title that surely will be super awesome.
(Hopefully, once these trailers get a little more circulation, we can find better quality versions of all of them. This post will be updated when that happens.)
The Last of Us

I, personally, am on a media blackout for this game, so if this trailer is incorrect, then I apologize. One bit of news, however, is that The Last of Us gets a release date: May 7, 2013.

Maybe this game looks familiar? Could that…could that be Snake? MAYBE SO. This trailer is a pretty sweet teaser for what seems like will certainly be a crazy game, as if all MGS titles aren’t a little crazy.
Personally, since I was actually surprised, Dark Souls II is the best announcement of the night. I was hoping that FromSoftware would bring us another title in this series of ridiculously hard and amazing games.
