The big news of the day is that Nintendo is poised to start selling the Wii Mini, a tiny Wii for people who somehow don’t have a Wii already and are looking to not play anything on the Virtual Console. You know, tons of people.
On December 7th, in Canada, Nintendo will release the Wii Mini for $99. It comes in a red and black case that looks pretty neat, and includes a wii remote and nunchuck in the box. What it doesn’t come with is any way to access the internet. “Wii Mini is designed exclusively to play Wii games. Its family-friendly design has no Internet capabilities and does not play Nintendo GameCube games,” says this post by Nintendo.
That’s too bad. But hey, new hardware is always fun, right? I just hope a new Wii coupled with the brand new Wii U doesn’t confuse too many people when stacked next to each other on the shelf.
