Reminder: Mass Effect 3 comes out next week
by Garret in Gaming News on February 29, 2012
For the third and maybe final time, Commander Shepard comes back to save the whole galaxy from evil things that no other person, Krogan, or Salarian could do. This time, however, the fight has come to Earth, and according to this trailer, no one will be able to play in the sunflowers any more. ‘Tis a shame. The game launches next week on 3/6/12. Isn’t that nifty?
In other news, next year is going to be a bitch for creative dates for game launches. Last year we had 11/11/11, this year 3/6/12. “13″ does not lend itself to fun number coincidences, unless we finally instate the month of Smarch.

The Last Story is coming to America. WE DID IT!
by Garret in Gaming News on February 22, 2012
“We” in the case being the hungering masses for actual, man-pants-wearing games for the Wii. We were lucky a couple of weeks ago when it was announced that Xenoblade Chronicles was finally coming to our shores, but today it was revealed that Nintendo will be releasing The Last Story, another huge RPG, this year as well!

This is a short post about awesome Zelda music

The title here really says it all. I was being reminiscent of this past year’s Skyward Sword, and decided to share a couple of my favorite tracks from the game.

Remember to pre-order Xenoblade Chronicles
by Garret in Gaming News on February 7, 2012
Nintendo did something recently that they have never done before: they actually listened to fans and went back to change something that was wrong. Well, I suppose they have done this before in recent memory (see 3DS Slide Pad Pro). Xenoblade Chronicles, however, is just as important, and it doesn’t make your console look ridiculous.

This is not a real Zelda title, BUT IT SHOULD BE.
by Garret in Gaming News on February 1, 2012

We know nothing as of yet regarding the next Legend of Zelda game, but if you are like me, you probably have crazy dreams about what the next title will hold. Will Link play a magical harpsichord? Will Tingle return as an undead, hot-air-backpacking map-maker? If you are Joel Furtado, your vision might be a little less crazy but instead be an incredibly sharp cell shaded Zelda in the vein of Wind Waker called The Lost Oracle. I could get behind it.
