E3 Shwag Get!
by Garret in Gaming News on June 22, 2010

E3 isn’t just all about video games. You also get the chance to take home a ton of free crap. In past E3′s, before the giant E3 bubble burst and everything went all crazy for a couple of years, I hear that you could basically walk out with a new house. Booths would give you all kinds of crap. That game over there that wasn’t very good? It sure got a lot better when they gave out deeds to land in the Midwest. I hear that one time, to pump up the release of Jurassic Park for the Game Gear, Sega gave out pure amber with fossilized mosquitos in them. No joke.*
This year was a little more tame, and outside of a couple of choice items I unfortunately did not come away with all too much. Like in other posts, I do have some pictures for you to digest. They are HEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE!
I’ll save you the trouble of trying to figure out what the best of the bunch is and point you to the heading of this post. Kirby patch beats all, but it’s followed fairly closely by the super great Rock Band 3 t-shirt.

E3 2010 Day 3: And Then It Ends
by Garret in Gaming News on June 20, 2010

The last day of E3 was more subdued that the other two. It would seem that there are actually some people who don’t stay for all three days. I know some who would call those people geniuses. It’s actually pretty interesting, and I wouldn’t have believed them if I hadn’t experienced it myself, but there is a point where you have to actively focus your energy on continuing to play games. After three days of walking and waiting in line, hearing the same music and being bumped into by hundreds of people, you do get very exhausted. Now, don’t get me wrong, I would do all of it again in a heartbeat, but there does come a point where relaxing is all that you want to do.
But enough of that talk, here are the images from Day 3. If I happen to go again next year (fingers crossed), I will need to take more photos, I do reckon.

E3 Day 2 in Pictures
by Garret in Gaming News on June 20, 2010

I’ve been a little negligent on updating the site with photos. But I finally had a chance to get some of these up. Later today I should have Day 3 up. The second day at E3 was marked with interviews and other things, and because of that I did not take as many pictures. You’d think that having actual appointments would be an impetus for taking even more photos, but for whatever reason that didn’t happen.
Here is the total Flickr set for this day. Feel free to check it out and see all kinds of CRAZY images.

NamboJam: Do You Like Having Fun?
by Garret in Gaming News on June 18, 2010
Alright folks, I know I’ve been late on posting anything regarding E3 here, but it’s only because I have a prior engagement to work with Nintendorks on this whole shebang. I’ve been working a ton of videos and such for the ‘dorks. I suggest you head over there and read their impressions of all of the crazy gaming craziness that E3 had to offer.
BUT, I really need you to watch this video. NBA Jam (NamboJam), for the Wii is fantastic and you can’t help but have fun. Remember how awesome you thought regular NamboJam was back in the 90s? Well, it’s like that, only it actually IS awesome. It’s so great!
I should have some images up pretty soon that I’ve taken to compliment those I had of Day 1, but those might have to wait a couple of days. But please, watch that video.
