T-Minus One Day
by Garret in Charity News on May 19, 2010
As I write this it is but a scant 20 hours or so until the event begins. I hope that you are all prepared. I also hope that we are all prepared. Aww, I’m just joshing; in truth, I am wearing an entire samurai outfit for the next 24 hours to put my mind into the right place. “Why wouldn’t you be wearing a ninja suit?” you ask. Well I would but I only have access to this most amazing samurai outfit and I look really good in it. “Do you have any pictures of this outfit?” You ask too many questions.

Charity Game Showcase: Muramasa: The Demon Blade
by Garret in Charity News, Games on May 19, 2010
We have done it! We have come to the last of the big games that we will be playing! This game has a special place on our list because it is the only one that has been released in the last decade. That’s right, Muramasa has the distinct quality shared by itself and thousands of other games of having been released between the years of 2000 and 2009. Does that mean it will have super-awesome-mega-grafix??? MAYBE. You’ll just have to read on to find out.

Charity Gaming Showcase: Brave Fencer Musashi
by Garret in Charity News, Games on May 18, 2010
Up until this point we have had little else in our gaming cornucopia other than general side-scrolling beat-em-ups. The genre lends itself to the ninja aesthetic; ninjas don’t want to waste any time kicking ass, and side-scrolling action games are the quickest means to that end. But sometimes you simply want to slow things down a touch, maybe travel to a new town or have a nice conversation in the down time between freaking out and killing dudes. Well if that’s the case, then brace your pants for Brave Fencer Musashi.

Charity Gaming Showcase: Legend of the Mystical Ninja
by Garret in Charity News, Games on May 17, 2010
It’s been a few days, but it is now time to discuss another game! Legend of the Mystical Ninja may quite possibly be the most quirky game on our list, but that does not mean it is not great in its own way. You can’t fault a game for having a ghost woman of the tower who is acting strangely. And that’s really all the story gives us. And it’s all you need to know.

More Official Live Test Thing Tomorrow
by Garret in Charity News on May 13, 2010
Tomorrow, Stardate May 14, 2010, beginning around 2:00-2:30pm CST, we will be doing a live test of all of the hardware and software at the event location to help ensure an incredibly smooth charity event next week.
Currently we do not know what games we will be playing, but hopefully they will be awesome. We also don’t know for how long we will be playing, but expect at least a few hours, just to make sure.
So what can you do to help? Well, if you are so inclined, feel free to watch (why else would we be posting this?) and let us know if anything is wonky or messing up. The chat room at this time will be fully operational, just like your favorite Death Star.
